Looking for someplace special to go before dinner? How about the US Botanic Gardens? It’s a great place to stroll, hand in hand, while talking or simply enjoying each other’s company.
Another great place to go is the observation deck at the Old Post Office Pavilion. It’s set 315 feet in the air and gives you a great, 360 degree view of the entire city. It’s a very romantic place to kiss under the stars or even propose to her.
Another great place to propose (or just spend time together if you’re not that serious) is Haines Point. It’s located south of the Jefferson Memorial between the Potomac River and the Washington Channel. It’s an amazing place for a post-dinner stroll. Don’t forget to stop by and see “The Awakening” statue in East Side Park.
How about combining your Valentine’s activity and dinner? You could take a cruise on the Spirit of Washington. The boat will sail down the Potomac River this year. Spirit Cruises has three different Valentine’s Day packages.
While it might sound like a strange place for a date, the National Museum of Crime and Punishment is actually doing a special Valentine’s Day exhibit. It’s called “Crimes of Passion.” You and your date are handcuffed together and lead through this interesting event.
How about a relaxing day at the Qi Spa? You and your sweetie can enjoy couples massage, facials, and many more relaxing treatments.
